** ABD Racing's independent dyno study proved a 10-12hp gain at the crank on a stock car. **
ABD Racing:
"We originally intended on coming out with a short ram intake system and the cold air, but we just couldn't pull enough HP gain out of our prototypes to make it worth selling. Instead, we made an intake that gives us the best of both worlds.
Lets face it, the main reason someone doesn't want a cold air intake is because they don't want to hydro-lock the engine. almost 80% of our business comes from the eastern tri-state area (some of the worst weather in the country) and I have not heard of one case where rain or snow damaged an engine (and if there is they haven't stepped forward to bring it to our attention).
Our intakes are made to run in bad weather as we do not place the filter down low, we place it just outside of the engine compartment where it still gets fresh air, but is not scraping the ground like most others do. As long as you have your stock fender liner in place, this will protect the filter from anything the tire kicks up."
ABD Racing offers vast aftermarket parts for the 1.8T platform aswell.
